MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW NETBALL COURT AND
RESURFACING OF EXISTING NETBALL AND TENNIS COURTS FOR THE MOSSEL BAY MUNICIPALITY. WORKS ENTAIL THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW NETBALL COURT AT HARTENBOS AND RESURFACING NETBALL AND TENNIS COURTS IN
MOSSEL BAY. CONTRACTORS TO MAKE USE LOCAL UNSKILLED LABOURERS WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES ACCORDING TO
THE EPWP GUIDELINES AND REGULATIONS. THE PROJECT TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE 30 JUNE 2020.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3CE.

Documents may be collected during work hours after 11h00 on 2019/10/23
A non-refundable tender deposit of R579.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
A set of tender documents can be obtained at a non-refundable cost of R579 including VAT. Tender documents can only be obtained at
the compulsory site and information meeting which will take place at 11h00 on Wednesday, 23 October 2019.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL PARTNERS OF A JOINT VENTURE ARE CIDB REGISTERED AND ATTEND THIS COMPULSORY
MEETING. FAILURE TO ATTEND THE MEETING WILL RESULT IN THE BID BEING NON-RESPONSIVE.
Prospective bidders that arrive 15 (fifteen) minutes or more after the advertised time the meeting started will not be allowed to attend
the meeting or to sign the attendance register.
Documents will only be handed to prospective bidders who produce a receipt for the payment of the tender document. Tender

Bids will be pre-evaluated on the following functionality criteria and bids that score less than 70 out of 100 points will be considered as
1.Company (or JV) Experience carrying a weight of 30 points.
2.References relating to similar experience carrying a weight of 15 points.
3.Key Site Staff and Personnel carrying a weight of 30 points.
4.Plant, Equipment, Tools and Machinery carrying a weight of maximum 10 points.
This tender is subject to Regulation 8 “Local Production and Content” of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2017:
Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2017 submitting of MBD 6.2 is compulsory. Please note that the steel products and components
for construction and textile, clothing, leather and footwear have been designated with a minimum threshold of 100% for local content
Responsive bids will then be evaluated on the 80/20 or 90/10 Preference Points system as prescribed by the Preferential Procurement

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at CRICKET CLUB HOUSE, VAN RIEBEECK
STADIUM, MOSSEL BAY on 2019/10/23 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, 01 November 2019.
Telephonic, Telegraphic, Telex, Facsimile, Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
