MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR ERNST ROBERTSON DAM TO SANDHOOGTE: REPLACING OF
EXISTING RAW WATER PIPELINES. CONTRACTORS TO USE LOCAL LABOUR ACCORDING TO THE EPWP METHOD AND
REGULATIONS. THIS IS A MULTI-YEAR PROJECT.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3CE.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R698.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
Tender documents can only be obtained at the compulsory site and information meeting which will take place at 11h00 on Thursday, 02
April 2020 at the Municipal Offices in Great Brak River, 5 Charles Street, Great Brak River.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL PARTNERS OF A JOINT VENTURE ATTEND THIS COMPULSORY MEETING. AS FAILURE TO
ATTEND THE MEETING WILL RESULT IN THE BID BEING NON-RESPONSIVE.
Please note: The Municipality prefer that Senior Company Staff members or Contract Managers attend the compulsory site meeting.
Prospective bidders that arrive 15 (fifteen) minutes or more after the advertised time the meeting started will not be allowed to attend
the meeting or to sign the attendance register. If a prospective bidder is delayed, he/she must inform the contact person before the
meeting commence and will only be allowed to attend the meeting if the chairperson of the meeting, as well as all the other bidders
attending the meeting, give permission to do so.
Documents will only be handed to prospective bidders who produce a receipt for the payment of the tender document. Tender
documents must be reserved not later than 12h00 on Monday 30 March 2020 from from Sonette Alberts at (044) 691-2305.
Bids will be pre-evaluated and bids that score less than 80 out of 100 points will be considered as non-responsive.
This tender is subject to Regulation 8 “Local Production and Content” of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2017:
Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2017 submitting of MBD 6.2 is compulsory. Please note that valve products have been
designated with a minimum threshold of 70%, steel pipe fittings and specials, steel products and components for construction,
hardware components, and plastic pipes have been designated with a minimum threshold of 100%.
Responsive bids will then be evaluated on the 80/20 or 90/10 Preference Points system as prescribed by the Preferential Procurement

The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, 24 April 2020.
