Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure transportation services for the State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) on behalf of Matatiele Local Municipality. The aim is to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for the event.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes providing transportation services specifically for the SOMA event. Bidders are expected to supply suitable vehicles and related services to facilitate the transportation needs of the municipality during the event. The tender documents and related arrangements are limited to the requirements outlined by Matatiele Local Municipality for this specific occasion.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the official tender documents issued by Matatiele Local Municipality, filled out in black ink without re-typing.
• Submission of mandatory documents including proof of CSD registration, completed MBD forms (3.3, 4, 6.1, 8, 9), Ethics Commitment Form, Authority to Sign Form, and signed Joint Ventures Agreement if applicable.
• Prices must be firm and inclusive of VAT.
• Sealed submission with external endorsement indicating Tender Number, Description, and Closing Date.
• Adherence to the tender submission rules and conditions specified in the tender document.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a printed report.
• Compliance with the relevant MBD forms and supporting documentation.
• Demonstrated capacity to provide transportation services suitable for the event.
• Ownership and enterprise details to meet the preferential procurement criteria, including proof of ownership by historically disadvantaged individuals, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and rural enterprises as applicable.
• Experience in providing transportation services for similar events will be advantageous.
