Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of office furniture that meets specified quality and technical standards. The aim is to ensure the provision of ergonomic, durable, and suitable office furniture to support the municipality's operational needs, with adherence to specified specifications and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of various office furniture items such as ergonomic chairs, visitor chairs, office tables, round tables, and boardroom chairs.
• Delivery and assembly of the furniture items at designated municipal locations.
• Provision of technical product descriptions, supporting documentation, and samples/images for evaluation.
• Compliance with municipal procurement policies and conditions, including submission of supporting documents and adherence to deadlines.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Furniture must meet the specifications outlined in the manufacturer’s product descriptions, including ergonomic features, durability, and quality standards.
• Items such as chairs should have adjustable features, heavy-duty swivel mechanisms, and appropriate bases (e.g., PU or chrome).
• Tables and chairs must conform to specified sizes and designs, such as office tables (e.g., Coimbra and Burgan Mahogany styles) and boardroom chairs.
• Samples or images of the furniture must be submitted with the bid for quality verification.
• The furniture must be delivered and assembled as per the municipality’s approval and specifications.

Skills and Experience Requirements

Bidder qualifications include:

• Demonstrated company experience with at least 5 relevant appointments, orders, or contracts valued at R300,000 or more.
• Provision of appointment letters or order confirmations as proof of experience.
• Technical capability to supply furniture that meets the specified standards and quality.
• Ability to deliver and assemble furniture items efficiently and according to specifications.
• Compliance with procurement policies and submission of all required supporting documents, including tax clearance, municipal rates, and company registration details.
