It is a requirement that tenderers for the sub-contracts are registered with SARS as a business and that a tax clearance certificate and proof of registration on the Database of the Beaufort West Municipality must be provided with the completed tender documentation and only nominated sub-contractors that are based within the borders of the Beaufort West Municipality will be allowed to tender.

NOMINATED SUB-CONTRACTOR FOR THE CONTRACT FOR NEW & UPGRADE OF STORM WATER DRAINAGE, MEIRING & LEEB STREET: MURRAYSBURG
 
The BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY hereby invites suitably qualified service providers to bid for the NOMINATED SUB-CONTRACTOR FOR THE NEW & UPGRADE OF STORM WATER DRAINAGE, MEIRING & LEEB STREET, MURRAYSBURG. The scope of the work consists of the construction of new and upgrading of existing stormwater drainage, depending on tender prices.
 
It is estimated that the sub-contractor should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 1CE or higher. It is a requirement that tenderers for the sub-contracts are registered with SARS as a business and that a tax clearance certificate and proof of registration on the Database of the Beaufort West Municipality must be provided with the completed tender documentation and only nominated sub-contractors that are based within the borders of the Beaufort West Municipality will be allowed to tender.

A compulsory clarification meeting will be held at the Municipal Building, Beaufort Street, MURRAYSBURG on Wednesday, 5 February 2020 at 14:00. Documents will only be available for collection at the compulsory clarification meeting if tenderers booked their tender documents in advance before the clarification meeting. No tenderers will be allowed to attend the compulsory clarification meeting after 14:15.
 
A non-refundable fee of R150.00 (One hundred and Fifty Rand), is payable for a set of printed documents. The fee must be deposited into the account of the Beaufort West Municipality at NEDBANK, Branch Code: 198765, Account Number 107 428 0318. The reference number for confirmation of payment is: 10/10000/100/020110 and quotation documents will be made available upon provision of proof of payment.
 
Sealed Bids, marked “BID SCM: 26/2020: NOMINATED SUB-CONTRACTOR NEW & UPGRADE OF STORM WATER DRAINAGE, MEIRING & LEEB STREET: MURRAYSBURG” must be addressed to the Municipal Manager and placed in the tender box at the Office of the Supply Chain Management Unit in the Sanlam Building, 112 Donkin Street, Beaufort West, before the closing time and date of 14:00 on FRIDAY, 14 FEBRUARY 2020. Bids will then be opened in the presence of anyone who wishes to attend, in the Committee Room in the Supply Chain Management Office at the Sanlam Building, Donkin Street, Beaufort West.
 
Bids received in electronic format or after the closing time and date will not be considered. Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any Bid. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail and late Bids will not be accepted.
 
Bids must be submitted on the original documents and must be valid for a period of 120 days after the closing date. The Bid will be subject to Council’s Supply Chain Management Policy, the Amended Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2017. The 80/20 preference points system will be applicable.
