SUPPLY AND SERVICES CONTRACT No. SS 78 OF 2020
PANEL OF SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR THE HIRE OF 16000 LITRE WATER TANKERS (DRINKING WATER) WITH DRIVERS/ OPERATORS FOR THE MSUNDUZI MUNICIPALITY
The Msunduzi Municipality hereby invites proposals from suitably qualified Service Providers for the Hire of Water Tankers (Drinking Water) with Drivers/ operators for the Msunduzi Municipality.
Interested tenderers are to submit a Tender Registration Form of which is available on the Msunduzi Municipality’s website www.msunduzi.gov.za in the Tenders Folder / Database Forms. The registration will begin from 03 December 2020 and end on 09 December 2020 at 23h59. The Tender Registration Form must be completed and emailed to [email protected]. Tenderers who fail to register within the above registration period will not be eligible to submit a tender.
Any enquiries or questions relating to this tender must be forwarded to Vuyani Msimang (Supply Chain Management Unit) on e-mail address [email protected], A consolidated response will published onto the Msunduzi Municipality’s website seven (7) calendar days before the date of tender closing “Note that no queries will be attended in the last seven (7) calendar days before tender closing”
Tenders must be submitted in the softcopy format on a USB Flash Drive, contained in sealed envelope and marked with “Contract No. SS 78 of 2020” and the Contract Description must be placed in the Tender Box located in the Foyer, Ground Floor, City Hall, 169 Chief Albert Luthuli Street (formerly Commercial Road), Pietermaritzburg, 3201, not later than 12h00 on Thursday, 21 January 2021, when they will be publicly opened. Only USB Flash Drive placed in the Tender Box will be accepted. Please Note that the submission of the Original Bid documents and CD’s will not be accepted.
The Msunduzi Municipality reserves the right to request the original bid document from any bidder during or after the adjudication process. It must be noted that before the letter of award is issued, the Msunduzi Municipality will request the original bid document from the preferred bidder.
Tender Validity Period: Four (4) months commencing from the closing date of tender.
Tender Adjudication/Evaluation Criteria: The tender will be evaluated based on mandatory requirements and on 90/10 Preference Point System in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2017, issued in terms of section 5 of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, Act No. 5 of 2000.
The Msunduzi Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to accept the whole or any part of a tender. Each tenderer will be informed of the tender result. The Msunduzi Municipality expects businesses within the Pietermaritzburg and Midlands Region to support its contract and BEE/SMME initiatives.
