Bid Description: REPLACEMENT AND UPGRADE OF THE ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE ROBINSON DRY DOCK IN THE PORT OF CAPE TOWN.

Name of Institution: TRANSNET SOC Ltd trading through it’s Operating Division, TRANSNET NATIONAL PORTS AUTHORITY (hereinafter referred to as TNPA)

Place where goods, works or services are required: Port of Cape Town (Infrastructure)

Only those tenderers who satisfy the following eligibility criteria are eligible to submit tenders:
a) Submit all compulsory returnables.
b) Minimum CIDB Grading: 6EP or Higher
c) Letter of intent to provide a 5% Performance Bond
d) Proof of registration for the following personnel:
• ECSA Registered Electrical Engineer/Technologist to design the control plant, approve design and assure functionality.

e) Commitment to the DTI’s minimum threshold for Designated Sectors for Local Production and Content for:
• Electrical Cables. (90% minimum); and
• Transformers. (Class 0 - 90% minimum);
f) Submits a tendered price in the form of offer and acceptance which is fixed and firm for the duration of the contract.
g) A Valid Letter of good standing with the compensation fund or with a Licensed compensation insurer
h) Only Respondents with a minimum B-BBEE level 4 contributor status may respond to this tender
i) Proof of attendance of compulsory briefing sessions
j) Proof of registration to the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database.
