Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide training to EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) beneficiaries on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). The training aims to equip beneficiaries with the knowledge and skills to apply safety, health, and environmental procedures in their work environment, ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

Scope

The scope includes the delivery of occupational health and safety training to EPWP beneficiaries within Mnquma Local Municipality. The training will be conducted over a period of 5 days at the municipality's premises, covering relevant standards, regulations, inspections, and reporting procedures. The training will culminate in the issuance of certificates of competence to successful learners.

Technical Requirements

• Training based on the relevant OHS Unit Standard (13223 or equivalent).
• Training to be conducted over a 5-day period at Mnquma Local Municipality.
• Provision of a clear training strategy, methodology, and output.
• Submission of a detailed training plan, including turnaround times.
• Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
• Provision of certificates of competence upon successful completion.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in Annexure A.
• Penalties for late delivery as per GCC Clause 25.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering occupational health and safety training, with at least one successful completed project listed as reference.
• Qualified trainers with relevant ETQA (Education and Training Quality Assurance) accreditation.
• Ability to develop and implement effective training strategies and methodologies.
• Knowledge of South African occupational health and safety legislation and standards.
• Capacity to produce and submit detailed reports and training outputs within specified timeframes.
• Competence in managing training logistics and ensuring participant engagement and understanding.
