FOR MATZIKAMA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY IN THE WESTERN CAPE

MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT AGENT INVITES TENDERS FOR APPOINTMENT OF A CONTRACTOR FOR THE
REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING RING MAIN UNITS (RMU) AND INSTALLATION OF NEW RING MAIN UNITS (RMU) FOR
MATZIKAMA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY IN THE WESTERN CAPE
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3EP or higher.

Only tenderers who ONLY those Bidder who satisfy the following ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA and who provide the required evidence in
their tender submission, are eligible to submit tenders and have their tenders evaluated:
The Bidders:
1. Only those Bidder who are registered with the CIDB, or are capable of being so prior to the evaluation of submissions, in a contractor
grading designation equal to or higher than a contractor grading
designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered, or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25 (1B) or 25(7A)
of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, for a 3 EP Or
higher class of construction work, are eligible to have their tenders evaluated. Joint ventures are eligible to submit tenders provided
that:
a. every member of the joint venture is registered with the CIDB,
b. the lead partner has a contractor grading designation in the 3 EP or higher class of construction work, or not lower than one level
below the required grading designation in the class of works construction
works under considerations and possess the required recognition status.
c. the combined contractor grading designation calculated in accordance with the Construction Industry Development Regulations is
equal to or higher than a contractor grading designation determined in
accordance with the sum tendered for a 3EP or higher class of construction work or a value determined in accordance with
Regulation 25 (1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations.
2. Bidder must submit a valid CIDB Grading Certificate (3EP) or proof/confirmation from CIDB that the Bidder has applied for CIDB
Grading level 3EP
3. In case of a Joint Venture/ Consortium submission, shall submit a Joint Venture Agreement signed by all parties and a valid
Combined CIDB Grading Certificate.
4. The tender documents issued by MISA must not be tampered with and remain intact.
5. Bidder must attend a compulsory briefing meeting and sign the attendance register.
6. The tender documents completed in all respects, signed off by the authorised signatory, as authorised in section 7 “Resolution for
Signatory”. Wherever spaces are provided, the Bidder must complete the
section in permanent ink. If the information requested is not applicable Bidder must indicate as such.
a) Should a Bidder fail to complete any section or line item of the Bill of Quantities (C2.2), the provisions of Section G of the Additional
Conditions of Tender will apply.
7. Bill of quantities or Pricing schedule and or Form of offer/Total tender amount shall not contain correction fluid on them. Any wrong
entry, in case of correction, must be cancelled by a single stroke and
initialled by the Authorised signatory are eligible to submit tenders.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at 37 Church Street Vredendal, Matzikama Local
Municipality, Western Cape Province on 27 November 2024 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
