TRANSNET FREIGHT RAIL PRETORIA INVITES TENDERS FOR FOR THE DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, TEST, DELIVER,
INSTALL,AND COMMISSION CONTROL BUILDING AND PRIMARY PROTECTION PANELS AT 25KV TRACTION SUBSTATIONS
UNDER RICHARDS BAY DEPOT
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 6EP or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who have a CIDB contractor grading of 6 EP CIDB grading or higher class
Only tenderers who will attend compulsory site meeting and/or tender briefing.
Tenderers are required to bring the Returnable Schedule T2.2-1 to the Compulsory Tender Clarification Meeting to be signed by the
Employer’s Representative after clarification meeting.
Tenderers failing to attend the compulsory tender briefing will be disqualified.
Only tenderers who have a CIDB contractor grading of 6 EP or higher class and who will attend compulsory site briefing
are eligible to submit tenders.

Transnet has implemented a new electronic tender submission system, the e-Tender Submission Portal, in line with the overall
Transnet digitalization strategy where suppliers can view advertised tenders, register their information, log their intent to respond to bids
and upload their bid proposals/responses on to the system.
a)The Transnet e-Tender Submission Portal can be accessed as follows:
Log on to the Transnet eTenders management platform website (https://transnetetenders.azurewebsites.net);
Click on “ADVERTISED TENDERS” to view advertised tenders;
Click on “SIGN IN/REGISTER – for bidder to register their information (must fill in all mandatory information);
Click on “SIGN IN/REGISTER” - to sign in if already registered;
Toggle (click to switch) the “Log an Intent” button to submit a bid;
Submit bid documents by uploading them into the system against each tender selected.
Tenderers are required to ensure that electronic bid submissions are done at least a day before the closing date to prevent issues
which they may encounter due to their internet speed, bandwidth or the size of the number of uploads they are submitting.
Transnet will not be held liable for any challenges experienced by bidders as a result of the technical challenges. Please do not wait for
the last hour to submit.
A Tenderer can upload 30mb per upload and multiple uploads are permitt.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Transnet - Malahle House (meeting point at
Boom Gate) ,4 Kiewiet Street, Empangeni Kwa-Zulu Natal Province on 17 June 2025 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 10h00 on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
