Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable contractor for the maintenance of roads and stormwater infrastructure within the Bitpu areas. The work aims to ensure the proper upkeep and functionality of roads and stormwater systems in the specified regions, supporting the municipality's infrastructure development and maintenance goals.

Scope

The scope of the project includes:

• Maintenance activities related to roads within the Bitpu areas.
• Maintenance and management of stormwater systems in the same regions.
• Contract duration extends until 30 June 2028.

Technical Requirements

The tenderers must meet the following technical criteria:

• Possess a cidb contractor grading of 3CE or higher.
• Have CIDB registration.
• Demonstrate a financial standing of “C” or higher for the contract sum tendered.
• Preference will be given to tenderers who:
• Sub-contract 20% to local SMMEs.
• Source 10% of supplies locally.

Additional Requirements

Other technical and procedural requirements include:

• Collection of tender documents from Bitou Municipality’s Supply Chain Management office at Shop 59, 2nd Floor, Melville’s Corner, Plettenberg Bay, after 08h00 on 01 September 2025.
• Payment of a non-refundable tender deposit of R430.10 upon collection of documents.
• Participation in a compulsory clarification meeting scheduled for 09 September 2025 at 09h00 at the Engineering Services Boardroom, 17 Marine Drive, Plettenberg Bay.
• Submission of tenders must be completed by 12h00 on Friday, 3 October 2025, with no late or emailed tenders accepted.
• All tenders must be submitted on the issued tender documentation, adhering to the specified sealing, addressing, and delivery procedures as outlined in the Tender Data.
