Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to render security services at Steynsburg Offices and Training Centre for a duration of three (3) months. The services aim to safeguard premises, assets, personnel, and ensure overall security management, including access control, patrols, emergency assistance, and related security functions.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Providing security personnel (guards and supervisors) at specified sites with specified shifts and grades.
• Conducting access and egress control, screening, and patrolling.
• Implementing safety and security inspections, developing work and contingency plans.
• Installing and maintaining patrol systems and equipment.
• Ensuring security officers are PSIRA registered, properly trained, and equipped with necessary tools (batons, radios, torches, handcuffs, detectors, etc.).
• Providing vehicles and other resources as specified.
• Meeting all technical and logistical requirements for effective security service delivery.

Technical Requirements

• Security officers must be PSIRA registered (Grade C), supervisors Grade B with minimum 3 years experience.
• All security personnel must be South African citizens, security cleared, and able to communicate in English and at least one official language (IsiXhosa, Sesotho, Afrikaans).
• Security officers must be at least 18 years old, sober, and professional.
• Supervisors must have valid driver’s licenses (minimum code 8/EB).
• Provision of necessary security equipment (batons, radios, torches, handcuffs, detectors, etc.).
• Adherence to shift schedules: day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-06:00), including weekends and public holidays.
• Meeting all specified logistical, operational, and safety standards.

Skills Requirements

• Security personnel must be PSIRA registered and certified.
• Supervisors must have at least 3 years security industry experience and valid driver’s licenses.
• Personnel must demonstrate professionalism, good communication skills, and the ability to operate security equipment effectively.
• Ability to develop and implement security work and contingency plans.
• Capacity to conduct inspections, patrols, and emergency response effectively.
