Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to render security services at Maletswai Themba Kojana Office Park for a duration of three (3) months. The aim is to ensure the safeguarding of premises, assets, and personnel through comprehensive security measures, including access control, patrols, and emergency response.

Scope

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

• Providing security officers (PSIRA Grade C) and supervisors (PSIRA Grade B) for 24/7 security coverage.
• Conducting access and egress control, screening, and scanning of personnel, goods, and vehicles.
• Implementing crime prevention measures and safety inspections inside and outside the premises.
• Assisting during emergencies, escorting personnel and visitors, and performing reception duties.
• Developing work and contingency plans, installing patrolling systems, and ensuring security compliance.
• Providing necessary security equipment such as batons, radios, torches, handcuffs, and metal detectors.
• Ensuring security personnel are properly trained, equipped, and reside within the relevant area during the contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Security officers must be PSIRA registered with Grade C; supervisors with Grade B and minimum 3 years experience.
• Security personnel must be South African citizens, security cleared, and able to communicate in English and at least one official language (IsiXhosa, Sesotho, Afrikaans).
• Security officers must be at least 18 years old, sober, and professional in conduct.
• Supervisors must hold valid driver’s licenses (minimum code 8/EB) and reside within the service area.
• Working shifts are day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-06:00), including weekends and public holidays.
• Provision of security equipment and resources as listed, and meeting minimum staffing levels (e.g., 8 guards during day shifts, 6 during night shifts, plus supervisors).
• Meeting all specified standards for uniforms, equipment, and operational resources.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• PSIRA registration at appropriate grades (B and C).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant security industry experience for supervisors.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and at least one official language.
• Criminal clearance and security vetting of personnel.
• Proficiency in operating security equipment such as radios, metal detectors, and patrol systems.
• Residing within the service area for supervisors during the contract period.
• Professional attitude, sober habits, and adherence to security protocols.
