Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to erect and upgrade the dispensary/dispatching window at the Church of Scotland Hospital. The project aims to improve the functionality and security of the pharmacy's dispensing area in accordance with attached specifications.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Site briefing and site inspection to understand the existing conditions.
• Removal of existing aluminum doors, frames, burglar guards, and built-in shelves.
• Supply, cutting, and extension of existing dispensing windows to build three lockable cubicle windows with specified features (aluminum side barriers, slots, roller doors, encasement with super wood varnished in dark oak).
• Supply and installation of new super wood shelving with secure fixing for PCs and plugs.
• Wall preparation and painting of the front and inside areas with SABS approved egg shell paint (3 coats).
• Replacement of bumper rails with matching aluminum strips.

The project also covers site inspection, technical assessments, and ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations during construction.

Technical Requirements

• Site Inspection & Briefing: Mandatory briefing scheduled for 16/09/2025 at 10:00 AM at the SCM Office.
• Specifications: All work must conform to the attached detailed specifications, including the use of specified materials (e.g., stainless steel clad frames, dark oak varnish, SABS approved paints).
• Construction & Installation: The work must be carried out in accordance with relevant South African standards, building regulations, and safety acts (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993).
• Guarantee Period: Minimum of 12 months warranty on all materials and workmanship.
• Site Conditions: The existing hospital premises will remain operational; the contractor must ensure access, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
• Documentation & Compliance: All work must be documented, and compliance with specifications, safety standards, and site requirements is mandatory.
