Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider capable of supplying and delivering catering services for the Elderly Month Programme organized by Mnquma Local Municipality. The aim is to ensure timely provision of quality catering, including breakfast, lunch, and desserts, for the specified number of elderly participants over a contract period of 30 days.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses:

• Provision of catering services for 150 elderly individuals, including:
• Breakfast (e.g., scones, samosas, sandwiches, beverages)
• Full meal lunch (e.g., samp, rice, vegetables, salads, meats, soft drinks)
• Desserts (e.g., Malva pudding and custard)
• Delivery of all catering items to Mnquma Local Municipality within 15 days of receiving a purchase order.
• Contract duration of 30 days, with no requirement for presentations or site meetings.
• Adherence to specified quality standards and delivery timelines.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Provision of detailed specifications for each catering item, as per Annexure A.
• Supply of all food items in accordance with the specified quantities and quality standards.
• Delivery of catering within 15 days of receipt of purchase order, observing strict delivery dates with penalties for late delivery.
• Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations.
• Provision of necessary insurances (if required), although the tender specifies no insurance is mandated.
• Submission of firm, fixed prices inclusive of all taxes, delivery costs, and levies, as per the Price Schedule (MBD 3.1 and 3.3).
• Completion of all mandatory documentation, including tax compliance certificates, declaration forms, and relevant schedules.
• Provision of past experience demonstrating capability to deliver similar catering services.
• Adherence to the conditions of tender, including submission deadlines, sealed proposals, and proper documentation.
