Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Emulsigen adjuvant, specifically 4 units of 10L each, with specified purity and physical characteristics, to meet the needs of Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of a high-quality adjuvant suitable for laboratory and vaccine development purposes.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Purchasing of 4 units of Emulsigen adjuvant, each with a volume of 10 liters.
• Compliance with specified purity levels (FMT, 10/10 no growth, 30-35°C, 14 days; SCDM, 10/10 no growth, 20-25°C, 14 days).
• Product must be mixed with SCDM at a final concentration of 20%, with droplets 2 microns or smaller viewed under 400X magnification.
• Meeting physical requirements such as specific gravity (0.909 at 20°C).
• Adherence to government procurement conditions and supplier requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the Emulsigen adjuvant include:

• Purity: FMT, 10/10 no growth, 30-35°C, 14 days
• SCDM: 10/10 no growth, 20-25°C, 14 days
• Droplet size: 2 microns or smaller when mixed at 20% in SCDM
• Specific gravity: 0.909 at 20°C

Suppliers must provide product specifications, catalogue, and Certificate of Analysis (COA), along with photographs of the product.

Skills and Requirements

Suppliers must meet the following criteria:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with an active status and a report not older than 2 months (for South African bidders).
• International bidders must request and submit an SBD 1 form from the procurement department.
• Complete, sign, and submit the SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure form.
• Provide a BBBEE certificate demonstrating at least 51% black ownership and/or 30% women ownership, or relevant disability documentation.
• Adherence to government procurement policies and general conditions of contract.
• Ability to supply the specified quantity and meet technical specifications.
