Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver Community Health Worker (CHW) uniforms to Inanda Community Health Centre (CHC) and other specified facilities within the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. The aim is to ensure that CHWs are provided with standardized, quality uniforms that meet specified standards and specifications, supporting their role in community health services.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of CHW uniforms, which encompass various items such as T-shirts, skirts, trousers, jerseys, shoes, and related accessories. The uniforms are to be supplied to multiple facilities, including Inanda CHC, Newtown A CHW, Amaoti CHW, and other designated clinics, with specified sizes and specifications as detailed in the annexure and sample lists. The contract covers the entire process from order placement, sample submission, to final delivery within stipulated timeframes.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the uniforms must conform to the detailed specifications provided, including:

• Item descriptions such as navy blue T-shirts with white stripes, caps with white bands, piping on trousers/skirt, and badges.
• Sizes ranging from small to XXL, with specific measurements for each item.
• Materials and design features as per the specification form, including color, cut, and badge attachment.
• Uniforms must meet quality standards, be new, unused, and incorporate recent design improvements.
• Samples may be required for evaluation, and the uniforms must be delivered within a maximum of 4 weeks from order confirmation.

Skills Requirements

The skills and capabilities required from bidders include:

• Proven experience in manufacturing or supplying uniforms, especially for healthcare or community workers.
• Ability to meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Capacity to produce and deliver samples for evaluation within specified timelines.
• Efficient logistics and supply chain management to ensure timely delivery to multiple locations.
• Compliance with procurement regulations, including proper documentation, disclosure, and adherence to preference points systems.
• Ability to provide after-sales support, including replacement of defective items and adherence to warranty conditions.
