Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite employment agencies to supply nursing staff for a six (6) months rate-based contract at Frere Hospital. The goal is to ensure the hospital is adequately staffed with qualified nursing personnel across various categories, including professional nurses with specialized experience, staff nurses, and nursing assistants, to meet operational needs.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of nursing staff as specified in the detailed requirements, including:
• Professional Nurses (theatre trained, critical care, trauma trained, general)
• Staff Nurses
• Nursing Assistants
• Provision of nurses for day and night duties as needed.
• Supply of staff for moonlighting and regular shifts, with specified quantities for each category.
• Supply of staff for a period of six months on a rate-based contractual arrangement.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Proof of registration with the relevant Nursing Regulatory Authority for each nurse supplied.
• Compliance with the specifications covering all required categories and experience levels.
• Provision of a declaration of the bidder’s capacity and capability to supply the required nursing staff.
• Adherence to the scope of work and specifications outlined, including availability for day/night shifts.
• Completion of evaluation compliance, including submission of necessary documents such as signed forms, CSD reports, bank confirmation, and tax compliance certificates.
• Pricing in firm prices, inclusive of all delivery costs, taxes, and levies.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for the supplied nursing staff are:

• Registered professional nurses with valid registration certificates.
• Specialized experience in areas such as theatre, critical care, trauma, and general nursing.
• Availability for both day and night shifts, including moonlighting duties.
• Ability to supply the required number of staff within the specified timeframes.
• Capability to provide staff with the necessary skills and experience as per the hospital’s specifications.
• Compliance with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
