Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish an enabling sale agreement with pre-qualified auctioneers for the sale of Eskom's redundant vehicles. The process aims to facilitate the sale first to Eskom staff and subsequently to the open market, on an “as and when” required basis, over a period of twenty-four (24) months.

Scope

The scope encompasses the appointment of auctioneers who will conduct the sale of Eskom's redundant vehicles nationally. The process includes the management of vehicle auctions via the Eskom eauction system, ensuring efficient bidding, notification, and sale procedures for the entire duration of the agreement.

Technical Requirements

• Access to the Eskom eauction online system at eauction.eskom.co.za
• Account activation via email link within 72 hours of registration
• Functionality for password reset through the "forgot your password?" feature
• Ability to view available auctions and items, and to select items for bidding
• Bid submission with system validation to accept bids and notify users of successful bids
• Notification system for out-bid alerts and auction closure updates via email and system alerts
• Automatic extension of auction end-time if last-minute bids are placed, with pre-configured extension periods
• Capability to view previous auctions by adjusting date filters and status options

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in using online auction platforms and bid management systems
• Ability to navigate and operate the Eskom eauction system effectively
• Understanding of auction procedures, including bid placement, notifications, and auction extensions
• Competence in managing online communications and notifications related to bidding activities
• Experience in handling national vehicle sale processes and auction logistics
