Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from qualified service providers to implement an Elderly Wellness Campaign for Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality. The campaign aims to promote wellness among the elderly population through specific activities and provisions as outlined in the specifications.

Scope

The scope includes the planning, coordination, and delivery of elderly wellness activities, specifically:

• Provision of morning tea for 100 people, including tea, coffee, sandwiches, muffins/scones, juice, and water.
• Provision of grocery supplies worth R1300 for 80 people, including rice, mealie-meal, potatoes, onions, chicken portions, sugar, flour, and cooking oil.

The campaign is to be executed as per the specifications detailed in the municipal documentation, with all activities aligned to the objectives of promoting elderly wellness.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the specifications provided in the project documentation, including the quantities and descriptions of items for the elderly wellness activities.
• Submission of all mandatory documents such as original municipal issued documents, SARS Tax Pin printout, company registration/CIPC documents, JV agreement if applicable, certified ID copies of directors/owners, and relevant MBD forms (1, 4, 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, 8, 9).
• Confirmation that no municipal accounts are overdue by more than 30 days and proof thereof.
• Compliance with local content threshold (100%) where applicable.
• Firm pricing inclusive of VAT, valid for the duration of the contract.
• Submission of quotations on the original municipal request documentation, unsigned alterations will invalidate submissions.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from service providers include:

• Proven experience in organizing and executing community wellness campaigns, particularly targeting elderly populations.
• Ability to coordinate procurement, logistics, and delivery of food and beverage items in accordance with specifications.
• Knowledge of municipal procurement procedures and compliance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Capacity to prepare and submit all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Understanding of local content requirements and ability to meet the stipulated thresholds.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with municipal officials and stakeholders.
