Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage qualified service providers to deliver landscaping services for the towns of Flagstaff and Lusikisiki within the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality. The project aims to create a safe, attractive environment by landscaping, beautifying public spaces, constructing walking pathways, and discouraging irresponsible littering through environmental improvements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Design and implementation of landscaping for town entrances and streets in Flagstaff and Lusikisiki.
• Construction of walking pathways to enhance pedestrian safety.
• Planting of flora and trees based on soil testing results.
• Maintenance of vegetation and landscaped areas.
• Site visits for measurements and assessments prior to quotations.

The project duration is 21 days from the issuance of the order, with specific deliverables including landscaping designs, site measurements, and vegetation maintenance.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of comprehensive landscaping designs for specified sites.
• Soil testing to determine suitable flora and trees for planting.
• Construction of walking pathways along designated routes, including Lusikisiki Cemetery, College to Turnoff, Tshaka Street, Sasol to Rhino Square, Flagstaff Cemetery, and town entrances.
• Adherence to delivery timelines with penalties for late completion.
• Interaction with the Community Services Department for project management, clarifications, and reporting.
• Experience and expertise in landscaping projects, with trained personnel capable of executing the work effectively.
