Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit offers for the purchase of approximately 30 tons of scrap steel from Timbadola Sawmill. The aim is to facilitate recycling and maintain the housekeeping standards within the mill by collecting and recycling scrap steel.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Offering to purchase and collect scrap steel for recycling purposes at Timbadola Sawmill.
• Providing own transportation (truck/vehicle) for loading the scrap steel.
• Employing personnel to cut and load the steel on-site.
• Supplying necessary tools and amenities, including firefighting equipment.
• Weighing the truck before and after loading to determine the load in tons, utilizing the on-site weighbridge.
• Delivering the scrap steel in a manner that ensures proper collection and recycling.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Own transportation capable of loading and transporting scrap steel.
• Personnel equipped to cut and load steel safely and efficiently.
• Provision of cutting tools and firefighting equipment.
• Use of the on-site weighbridge to determine the load weight.
• Pricing to be quoted per ton (R/ton).
