Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to conduct comprehensive testing of the entire wiring at Nkonjeni Hospital to ensure compliance and safety standards, thereby facilitating the issuance of a Certificate of Compliance (C.C.O). The testing aims to verify the integrity of electrical wiring and include infrared inspection to meet certification requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Testing of all wiring within Nkonjeni Hospital, including infrared inspection at designated locations.
• Inspection of distribution boards, kiosks, and mini-substations across various hospital sites and buildings.
• Provision of detailed reports post-inspection, including color photographs and calibration certificates.
• Service to cover electrical distribution boards in multiple departments and buildings as specified in the detailed list.
• Completion of the testing and inspection process within scheduled timeframes, with submission of all required documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Testing of the entire hospital wiring system to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Infrared testing and inspection at specified locations.
• Use of equipment not older than 3 months and compliant with CIDB registration (minimum EB/ME 1).
• Provision of calibration certificates for testing equipment.
• Submission of detailed reports, including color photographs, signed job cards, and invoices.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the detailed scope of work and approved by the end-user.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must possess:

• CIDB registration as an electrical/mechanical contractor (minimum EB/ME 1).
• Valid tax clearance and B-BBEE certification.
• Qualified electrical technicians with experience in wiring testing and infrared inspection.
• Capability to produce detailed inspection reports and documentation as specified.
• Proficiency in handling and calibrating electrical testing equipment.
• Knowledge of hospital electrical systems and safety standards.
