The primary objective of the tender is to secure the supply, maintenance, and support of access multiplexers across South Africa for a period of 3 years. The aim is to ensure reliable transmission network services that support various communication systems within Transnet's railway infrastructure, with an emphasis on improving current processes, fostering partnerships, and leveraging advanced technology to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
The scope encompasses the provision of access multiplexers, including hardware, software, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support services. It involves the supply of specific equipment such as servers, workstations, multiplexers, optical modules, and accessories, along with associated training, warranty, and support for multiple sites nationwide. The scope also covers project management, technical support, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards over the 3-year contract period.
