Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of up to three service providers to manage illegal dumping sites for Metsimaholo Local Municipality. The appointed providers will deliver services on an as-and-when-required basis over a period of one year, ensuring effective waste management and environmental compliance within the municipality.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Appointment of service providers for the management of illegal dumping sites.
• Provision of professional services covering various disciplines such as roads, stormwater, water and sanitation (reticulation and bulk services), structural building, contact and project management.
• Services related to grass cutting, green belt maintenance, and site cleanup.
• Supply and delivery of fuel (petrol and diesel).
• Training and skills development programs.

The services are to be rendered on a flexible, as-needed basis, with specific activities scheduled as per the municipality’s requirements over a period of one year.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Attendance at compulsory briefing sessions, with punctuality being mandatory.
• Provision of professional services across multiple disciplines, including roads, stormwater, water and sanitation, structural works, and project management.
• Execution of grass cutting, green belt maintenance, and site cleanup activities.
• Supply and delivery of fuel (petrol and diesel) as required.
• Conducting training and skills development programs.

All bids must meet the locality criteria and adhere to the specific goals outlined in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from service providers include:

• Capability to deliver multi-disciplinary professional services related to construction, infrastructure, and environmental management.
• Experience in managing waste management and illegal dumping sites.
• Competence in grass cutting, site maintenance, and environmental cleanup activities.
• Ability to supply and manage fuel logistics effectively.
• Skills in conducting training and skills development programs.
• Compliance with CIDB grading requirements (minimum grading of 5CE / 5GB for certain services).
• Attending and participating in compulsory briefing sessions, demonstrating punctuality and readiness to meet the municipality’s standards.
