Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Karl Fischer reagents, specifically titrant and solvent, for volumetric Karl Fischer titration. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of high-quality reagents to support laboratory testing and analytical processes at Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of:

• 5 units (1 liter each) of titrant for volumetric Karl Fischer titration with two component reagents
• 5 units (1 liter each) of solvent for volumetric Karl Fischer titration with two component reagents

The procurement is subject to government procurement conditions, and suppliers must comply with the specified technical and administrative requirements.

Technical Requirements

Suppliers must provide:

• Specifications, catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and data sheets for the items offered
• Reagents suitable for volumetric Karl Fischer titration, with two component reagents (titrant and solvent)

All quotations must include these documents to be considered valid.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must meet the following criteria:

• Be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status and provide a report not older than 2 months (for South African bidders)
• International bidders must request an SBD 1 form from the procurement department and submit it with their bid
• Complete, sign, and submit the SBD 4 Bidder’s Disclosure form
• Provide evidence of BBBEE status, including a valid BBBEE certificate showing:
• Disadvantaged status based on race (10 points)
• Disadvantaged status based on gender (8 points)
• Disability status (2 points)

Failure to submit these documents will result in immediate disqualification.
