Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to recruit and appoint qualified Pharmacist Assistants at the P.E Pharmaceutical Depot for a period of six (6) months. The aim is to ensure the effective supply of staffing services through a recruitment agency to meet emergency and operational needs within the Department of Health's Nelson Mandela Bay Health District.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of staffing services for Pharmacist Assistants on short notice during emergency situations.
• Delivery of professional agency services as ordered by the Department of Health.
• Ensuring that all professionals supplied have valid registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Services are to be provided at designated health facilities within the Nelson Mandela Bay District, including PE Pharmaceutical Depot.
• Services are limited to day shifts, Monday to Friday, with no operations on weekends or public holidays.
• Contracted professionals must be available for immediate deployment upon official orders.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of Pharmacist Assistants with current, valid registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Delivery of staffing services on short notice, adhering to emergency needs.
• Payment of professional fees for the years 2025 and 2026.
• Verification of registration status at all times; personnel with invalid or suspended registration will lead to disqualification.
• Compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including registration with the South African Pharmacy Council and adherence to the Department of Health's operational standards.
• Availability of staff during specified hours and immediate deployment upon request.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Current valid registration of Pharmacist Assistants with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Demonstrated experience in providing staffing services for healthcare facilities, preferably with references.
• Ability to supply a sufficient database of qualified staff with detailed profiles (name, ID, contact details, registration numbers).
• Capacity to manage emergency staffing requirements efficiently and effectively.
• Financial stability evidenced by recent financial statements or bank confirmation letters.
• Compliance with all legal, safety, and professional standards relevant to healthcare staffing services.
