Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable service provider to deliver training services in plastering for five (5) officials within the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure in Joe Gqabi District. The training aims to enhance the skills of officials through a comprehensive ten-day course culminating in certificates of competence.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Conducting a ten-day plastering training course for five officials.
• Covering specific plastering skills such as plastering walls, door and window openings, projecting surfaces, curved walls, recessed arches, circular columns, and skim coating around openings.
• Providing accredited training aligned with the requirements of the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) and the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
• Delivering training on dates and times to be communicated by the Department.
• Providing comprehensive course manuals, notes, attendance registers, and issuing certificates upon successful completion.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of accredited plastering training courses that meet QCTO standards.
• Submission of proof of accreditation with relevant bodies.
• Delivery of training on dates to be communicated by the Department.
• Provision of comprehensive course manuals and notes for reference.
• Issuance of certificates of competence upon course completion.
• Adherence to legislative requirements for workplace training, including accreditation from the relevant SETA.

Skills Requirements

The skills requirements for the service provider and facilitator include:

• Accreditation with the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) and compliance with QCTO standards.
• Qualified trainers/facilitators with proven experience in plastering training.
• Ability to deliver practical and theoretical training effectively within the specified timeframe.
• Provision of training materials, manuals, and assessment tools.
• Capability to issue certificates of competence upon successful completion.
• Demonstrated experience in workplace skills development and adherence to legislative and quality standards.
