Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) in a specified quantity (500g units) to meet the needs of Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd. Skills and Supplier Requirements

The supplier must meet the following criteria:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status and a report not older than 2 months (for South African bidders).
• International bidders must request an SBD 1 form from the procurement department and submit it with their bid.
• Complete and submit the SBD 4 Bidder’s Disclosure form, signed and signed.
• Provide all compulsory documentation including specifications, catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and Data Sheets.
• Demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Adhere to procurement procedures, including uploading required documents via the procurement portal.

Evaluation Criteria

Bid evaluation will be based on a points system considering:

• Price (80%)
• Preference (20%) based on BBBEE status, ownership, and other socio-economic goals

Preference points will be awarded for:

• Black ownership (at least 51%)
• Gender representation (at least 30% women ownership)
• Disability status (supported by a doctor’s note or BEE certificate)

Failure to submit required documentation will result in disqualification.
