Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 50,000 units of RVF Live 100ml Cartons that meet specified technical and quality standards, ensuring suitability for packaging the RVF live vaccine. The procurement aims to establish a reliable supplier capable of providing cartons that comply with detailed specifications and quality assurance requirements.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of 50,000 units of RVF Live 100ml Combo Display Cartons. The cartons must adhere to the detailed specifications provided, including material, dimensions, printing, perforations, die-cutting, and labeling requirements. The scope also encompasses supplier compliance with quality standards, submission of necessary documentation, and adherence to procurement procedures.

Technical Requirements

• Material: SBS (Cellulose) solid bleach sulphate, virgin board or wastepaper, with specified dimensions (82mm x 54mm x 92.5mm).
• Design: Pre-cut on creasing line, perforated for gluing, unprinted and unpainted perforation areas, with specific folding and gluing instructions.
• Printing: Pantone colours to match product branding, with supplier identification indicated on the carton.
• Labeling: Batch number and expiry date to be printed in designated areas; space provided for OBP to print batch and expiry details.
• Die-cutting: Special perforating ruling on creases, pre-cuts on all crease lines, and inclusion of pre-cuts on all flaps.
• Quality: No excess glue leakage, cartons delivered flat in bundles of 50, wrapped in paper, with no rubber bands.
• Certification: Certificate of Conformance (C of C) must accompany each consignment, confirming specifications, results of in-house tests, and approval of colours.

Skills and Supplier Requirements

• Proof of previous supply of similar cartons within the last 24 months (stamped invoices, delivery notes, or reference letters).
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status for South African bidders, including a recent CSD report (not older than 2 months).
• International bidders must request and submit an SBD 1 form from the Procurement department.
• Completion and submission of the SBD 4 Bidder’s Disclosure form, signed and signed declaration of compliance.
• Capability to produce cartons that meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to provide all required documentation, including certificates, drawings, artwork, and conformance certificates.
• Adherence to procurement portal procedures and submission guidelines, with all documents uploaded as part of the bid.
