Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Drape - Delivery Excessive Bleeding, which is used in conjunction with a Uterine Balloon Tamponade (UBT) system for managing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). The system aims to enable quick detection, accurate measurement, early intervention, and effective management of PPH, particularly in low-resource settings.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of 5 rolls of calibrated drapes designed for blood loss monitoring during delivery. The procurement is for Port Shepstone Hospital's Supply Chain Management Department, with the delivery to be made at No. 7 Bazley Street, Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. The tender covers the entire process from order placement to delivery, ensuring compliance with specified standards and specifications.

Technical Requirements

• The drape must be calibrated for accurate blood loss measurement, with markings at intervals (e.g., every 50-100 mL).
• The system should facilitate detection, measurement, early intervention, and management of postpartum hemorrhage.
• The drape must be made of suitable material, conforming to relevant standards (SABS/SANS or equivalent).
• The product must have a shelf life clearly stated by the bidder.
