Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing and delivering 1,000 pillows that meet specified quality and standard requirements to Madadeni Hospital's Physiotherapy & CSSD departments.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of 1,000 pillows, conforming to detailed specifications, within a once-off contract period. The supplier must provide pillows that meet the specified size, material, marking, and quality standards, and deliver them to Madadeni Hospital's designated location.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Pillows for head rest, specifically polyester/cotton casing filled with 0.5kg virgin polyester fibre.
• Size: Finished dimensions of approximately 70cm x 44cm x 570g.
• Material: Casing must be 180 or better in quality, with raw seams hemmed 2.5cm wide, double stitched.
• Marking: Each pillow must be marked with the KZN 30mm lettering in royal blue on the entire face, and include a size tab sewn on indicating dimensions, manufacturing name, month, and year of manufacture.
• Standards: Items must comply with SANAS/SABS specifications and be of current models with recent improvements.
• Sample: A sample must be made available upon request, and the product must be signed, dye-fast, and signed off by end-user and SCM representatives.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in manufacturing or sourcing pillows that meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to produce and deliver custom-marked pillows as per specified markings and labeling requirements.
• Experience in complying with SANAS/SABS standards and quality assurance processes.
• Capability to provide samples and documentation demonstrating compliance with specifications.
• Effective logistics and delivery skills to ensure timely delivery to Madadeni Hospital’s designated site.
