Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to manage and execute structural pest control for the Eben Donges Building over a period of six (6) months. The goal is to eradicate and control common pests such as cockroaches, flies, fleas, and other insects, ensuring a pest-free environment within the building.

Scope

The scope of work includes providing a comprehensive, high-quality pest control program covering all areas from the basement to the 4th floor of the Eben Donges Building. The service must include all necessary labour, supervision, materials, consumables, equipment, transport, licensing, and statutory compliance for the entire contract duration. The service provider must also include all risks, costs, and demonstrate the ability to make reasonable profit considering the site size and requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of a comprehensive pest control program adhering to all relevant legislation and standards.
• Use of approved and effective pest control remedies with active ingredients clearly indicated.
• Compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including occupational health and safety acts.
• Provision of all necessary documentation, including licensing, proof of insurance, and technical data sheets.
• Participation in a compulsory site briefing and adherence to the scope of work as specified.
• Implementation of pest control measures in accordance with the specified scope, including eradication and ongoing control.
• Provision of a detailed schedule of application and treatment over the six-month period.
• Compliance with all legislative and environmental standards, including SABS/SANS standards and relevant Acts.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registered and accredited pest control professionals with valid licenses and permits.
• Proof of registration and accreditation of responsible pest controllers (Pest Control Operators - PCO).
• Experience in managing pest control in commercial or institutional buildings, preferably with similar scope and duration.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to provide technical data sheets, remedy details, active ingredients, and proof of effective pest control solutions.
• Capability to prepare and submit comprehensive reports, schedules, and documentation as required.
• Demonstrated understanding of statutory licensing, insurance requirements, and health and safety compliance.
