Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply a Variable Frequency Drive (75KW) to meet the operational needs of the Mohokare Local Municipality. The project aims to ensure the delivery of a reliable, efficient, and locally sourced VFD that complies with specified technical and content requirements.

Scope

The scope of work involves the supply and delivery of:

• One (1) Variable Frequency Drive with a capacity of 75KW

The VFD must meet a minimum local content threshold of 70%. The supplier is responsible for providing the product along with all necessary documentation and proof of compliance with the specified criteria.

Technical Requirements

• The VFD must be a 75KW variable frequency drive.
• The product must have a minimum local content of 70%.
• The price quoted must be firm and inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• Suppliers must provide proof of meeting specific goals, including local content and ownership criteria.
• Attach a valid Tax Clearance Certificate and a recent CSD report (not older than three months).
• Quotations must be submitted on official company letterhead, signed, and stamped.
• Only official orders and appointment letters will bind the municipality.

Skills and Documentation Requirements

Vendors must submit the following documents to qualify:

• Completed and signed MBD4 (Declaration of Interest)
• Preference Points Claim Form (MBD6.1) in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022
• MBD6.2 (Declaration for local production and content for designated sectors)
• MBD8 (Declaration of Bidder’s Past Supply Chain Management Practices)
• MBD9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination)
• Original Tax Clearance Certificate or proof of tax compliance
• Recent CSD report (not older than 3 months)
• Evidence of meeting specific goals, such as municipal account or lease agreement

Additional Conditions

Quotations received after the deadline, incomplete or improperly marked submissions, telegraphic, faxed, or telephonic tenders, and those from defaulters listed in the National Treasury’s register will be disqualified. The municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and is not obliged to accept the lowest or any offer.
