Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the removal of redundant assets from Free State Labs on behalf of the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS). The aim is to efficiently and safely dispose of obsolete equipment and assets, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards, and to issue destruction certificates upon completion.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Identification and collection of redundant assets across multiple laboratories in the Free State region.
• Transportation and collection of assets, including all costs associated.
• Proper destruction, recycling, or disposal of assets in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Issuance of destruction certificates post-completion.
• Provision of a detailed pricing schedule for services at different locations (Kroonstad, Bethlehem, Manapo).

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Completion of the technical/functional evaluation criteria, including submission of proof of previous similar projects and destruction certificates.
• Methodology for decontamination and destruction that pose no threat to humans, animals, or the environment.
• Provision of destruction certificates once assets are destroyed.
• Transport and collection must be included in the pricing.
• Adherence to safety, environmental, and health standards during asset removal and disposal.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• Experience in handling and disposing of laboratory equipment and hazardous assets.
• Ability to provide proof of previous similar projects and destruction certificates.
• Qualified personnel for decontamination and destruction processes.
• Logistics and transportation expertise to ensure safe collection and delivery.
