The primary objective of this tender is to procure multiple 10Gbps managed bandwidth services to refresh and enhance the connectivity of rural links within the Eastern Cape region. The aim is to establish reliable, high-capacity network links between specified sites over a contract period of five years, ensuring improved connectivity and network performance for the involved institutions.
The scope of the tender includes the provision of managed bandwidth services across various links connecting designated sites, such as WSU Queenstown, UFH Bhisho, WSU Whittlesea, CUT Bloemfontein, IS Bloemfontein, UFH East London, and IS East London. The services encompass the installation, management, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the 10Gbps links, with options for cross-connects between equipment where specified. The contract duration is five years, with the possibility of negotiations on payment terms.
