Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the maintenance of a 500KVA 11KV RMU transformer to ensure its proper functioning and reliability within the Mohokare Local Municipality.

Scope

The scope of work includes the maintenance of one 11KV, 420V, 500KVA RMU transformer. The maintenance must adhere to the specified technical standards and include all necessary activities to ensure the transformer’s optimal performance.

Note: The project has a minimum local content requirement of 45%.

Technical Requirements

• The quotation must be firm and inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• Quotations must be submitted on official company letterhead, signed, and stamped.
• Provide proof of meeting specific goals, including a valid Tax Clearance Certificate and a recent CSD report (not older than three months).
• Complete and attach the following documents:
  • MBD4 (Declaration of Interest)
  • MBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form)
  • MBD 6.2 (Declaration for local production and content)
  • MBD8 (Declaration of Past SCM Practices)
  • MBD9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination)
• Ensure compliance with the local content threshold of 45%.
• Only official orders and appointment letters will bind the municipality.

• Technical expertise in transformer maintenance and electrical systems.
• Ability to provide proof of compliance with local content and procurement policies.
• Experience in handling similar maintenance projects, supported by relevant documentation.
• Knowledge of SARS tax compliance and submission of necessary certificates.
