Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a Catherization Set Double Lumen Central Venous 7fr to meet the clinical needs of Harry Gwala Regional Hospital. The scope encompasses the supply of adult double lumen central venous catheter sets with specific specifications, including size, length, lumens, guidewire, and associated accessories. The procurement covers the complete delivery of the specified quantity (750 units) to Harry Gwala Regional Hospital, including compliance with technical standards, quality assurance, and documentation requirements as detailed in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Adult double lumen central venous catheter set, 7Fr, length 20cm, with lumens distal and proximal 16G, guidewire approximately 60-70cm.
• Material: Flexible, radiopaque polyurethane (PUR-3), softening in situ.
• Markings: Clear cm markings with single, double, and triple lines at 10cm, 20cm, and 30cm, resistant to alcohol cleaning.
• Design: Pliant, tapered atraumatic tip, non-kinking, moulded smoothly; catheter clamp and fastener that prevent kinking.
• Hub: Low-profile, moulded flush fit with product name, size, and length; integral suture wing with flexible holes for suturing.
• Extension Lines: Transparent, extending from the hub, color-coded lumen lock connections, secure yet easy to slide.
• Guidewire: Nitinol spring guidewire, OD 0.81mm (0.032"), with advancer/wire dispenser, see-through barrel, bulb on end, tapered tip for insertion.
