Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure non-invasive ventilation masks (specifically CPAP masks in medium size) with headgear to provide patients with continuous positive airway pressure in hospital settings. The focus is on acquiring high-quality, single-use masks that meet specified standards to ensure patient safety and effective ventilation support.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of:

• Full face non-invasive ventilation masks with oxygen ports
• Headgear/harness for secure fit
• Mask cushions, clips, fixation hooks, forehead pads, elbow connectors, and related accessories
• Compliance with specified quality standards and specifications
• Delivery of the masks in single boxes (per unit packaging) to Northdale Hospital

The procurement covers a total of 50 units, with the masks intended for use in hospital patient care, ensuring they conform to relevant standards and are suitable for medical use.

• Made of high-quality materials, compliant with SABS or SANS standards

• Samples are required for evaluation prior to final approval

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Ability to supply medical-grade non-invasive ventilation masks that meet technical and safety standards
• Experience in supplying hospital or healthcare institutions with medical devices, particularly respiratory equipment
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as SABS or SANS for medical equipment
• Capability to provide samples for testing and evaluation
• Provision of documentation including proof of compliance, quality standards, and certification from relevant authorities (e.g., SAHPRA license)
• Capacity to deliver within specified timeframes and in accordance with hospital requirements
• Ability to adhere to procurement policies, including preferential procurement and compliance with legislation
