Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the maintenance and servicing of condensate pumps at the Regional Laundry Cato Manor. The aim is to ensure the pumps operate efficiently, with proper inspection, servicing, and maintenance to support the hospital's steam and water systems.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Servicing and maintenance of two condensate pumps as per detailed specifications.
• Removal and inspection of pump base sets, bearings, impellers, electric motors, and associated components.
• Checking for leaks, greasing bearings, servicing impellers, and ensuring all valves, couplings, and control panels are in proper working order.
• Testing and ensuring all parts are functioning correctly with no leaks, and submitting a comprehensive report post-service.
• Site briefing and inspection prior to service execution.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Remove pump base sets one at a time for inspection.
• Replace all pump glands and oil seals.
• Check and service all bearings and impellers.
• Inspect and service electric motors, windings, wiring, and couplings.
• Ensure all valves, isolators, and control panels are in good condition and functioning properly.
• Check the Mobrey valve and float, and ensure all valves shut off correctly.
• Verify all electrical connections, cabling, and control panel indications.
• Ensure the sump and surrounding area are clean and free from rubbish.
• Test the entire system for leaks and proper operation, submitting a detailed report.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must possess:

• Technical expertise in pump maintenance, including knowledge of bearings, impellers, electric motors, and control systems.
• Experience with industrial pump servicing, preferably in a hospital or similar environment.
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on condensate pumps and associated components.
• Competence in testing electrical wiring, control panels, and safety valves.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations during maintenance activities.
• Capacity to produce detailed reports and documentation of the service performed.
