Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver LED emergency lights and related electrical equipment to Maluti-a-Phofung Water (SOC) Ltd. The project aims to enhance water service infrastructure by providing reliable emergency lighting and associated components, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of various emergency lighting products and electrical components as specified in the technical requirements. This encompasses LED emergency lights (5-foot and 4-foot), outdoor solar-powered LED spotlights, floodlights, mercury tubes, LED bulbs, solar flare LED lights, and other related items such as mechanical seals, flood lights, wooden doors, ceiling boards, and installation of gates and floodlights at designated sites.

The delivery location is Maluti-a-Phofung Water offices and treatment plants, with the completion of supply and delivery within the contract period, adhering to the specifications and evaluation criteria outlined.

Technical Requirements

• LED emergency lights: 5-foot, 240 VAC, backup battery, water vapour proof.
• LED emergency lights: 4-foot, 240 VAC, backup battery, water vapour proof.
• Outdoor solar-powered LED spotlights: 400 watts, solar flair LED lights (20 units).
• Flood lights: 250W and 400W LED bulbs, mercury tubes (125W), and related flood lighting equipment.
• Other electrical components: solar flare LED lights, mechanical seals for pumps, flood light drills, wooden doors with hinges, ceiling boards, slip-resistant tiles, and installation of gates and floodlights.
• All products must meet the specifications for durability, water resistance, and suitability for outdoor use.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with technical specifications and relevant standards.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a valid CSD summary report.
• Tax compliance status with a valid PIN and proof of municipal rates clearance (not in arrears for more than three months).
• CIDB grading of at least 1 GB (General Building) or higher, registered or renewed within the last three years.
• Submission of company registration certificates reflecting active members.
• Quotations must be on company letterhead and sealed, indicating the project description and bid reference.
• Compliance with municipal supply chain management policies and preferential procurement policies, including B-BBEE certification for points allocation.
• Experience in supplying electrical and emergency lighting equipment, demonstrated through previous projects or references.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and provide after-sales support where applicable.
