Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver test strips for the Hemoglobin (HGB) meter mission at Edumbe Community Health Centre. The aim is to ensure the availability of quality test strips to facilitate accurate blood hemoglobin testing for patient care.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of test strips specifically designed for use with HGB meters. The procurement is a once-off contract, with the delivery to be made to the specified health facility address in Paulpietersburg. The quantity specified in the pricing schedule is 250 boxes of 100 test strips each.

Technical Requirements

• The test strips must be compatible with the specified HGB meters used at Edumbe CHC.
• Test strips should meet the standards specified in the attached technical specifications, including compliance with SABS standards.
• The product must be new, unused, and of the latest model with all recent design and material improvements.
• Test strips must be supplied with appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit and storage.
• Samples may be required for verification against specifications.
• The supplier must provide documentation such as certificates of conformity and compliance with specifications.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Bidder must provide a copy of their BBBEE certificate and CIPC registration to demonstrate compliance with ownership and enterprise requirements.
• Bidder must be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide relevant registration numbers.
• The bidder should demonstrate technical capability and experience in supplying medical test strips, supported by relevant references or past performance.
• Submission of a valid SARS tax clearance certificate and tax compliance status.
• Provision of a signed declaration of interest and disclosure of any relationships with Department of Health employees, as per the bid documentation.
• Ability to meet the delivery timeline specified in the tender (immediate delivery upon award).
