Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of fresh meats for a duration of one month to Ushaka Marine World, ensuring quality, compliance with specifications, and timely delivery as detailed in the RFQ.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of various types of fresh meats including beef, mutton, lamb, and pork, with specific grades, weights, sizes, and packaging requirements as outlined in the specifications. The supplier must deliver these meats in accordance with the quantities and standards specified, covering all necessary cuts, offal, and processed meat products for the stipulated period.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of specified meat types such as T-bone steaks, rump steaks, fillet steaks, sirloin, ribeye, hamburger patties, mince, boerewors, oxtail, tripe, trotters, offal, biltong, dry wors, and various lamb, mutton, and pork cuts.
• Meats must meet the grades indicated (e.g., AAA222, BBB333, B2, B3, C) and adhere to specified weights, sizes, and packaging standards.
• All products must be fresh, properly portioned, and individually packed where specified.
• Delivery must be completed within the agreed timeframe, maintaining the quality and safety standards required for perishable goods.
• Suppliers must comply with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations applicable to meat handling and delivery.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering fresh meats to large-scale institutions or similar entities.
• Knowledge of meat grading, packaging, and handling standards.
• Ability to meet strict delivery schedules and maintain product quality during transportation.
• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to food safety and hygiene.
• Capacity to provide necessary documentation such as tax clearance, TCC, and CSD registration.
• Technical expertise in meat processing and quality assurance to ensure products meet specified standards.
