Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply, install, and maintain water dispensers across all SANRAL sites for a period of 36 months. The provider will ensure continuous access to clean, safe drinking water by offering rental, maintenance, repairs, and supply of bottled water and paper cups, thereby promoting health, hydration, and operational reliability.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of Water Dispensers: Rental, installation, built-in filtration systems (including filters and replacements), maintenance, sanitisation, repairs, and replacement of units. Dispensers should be durable, easy to clean, prevent accidental burns, and meet flow rate standards.
• Supply of Consumables: Biodegradable paper cups (200-250ml) and sealed 18.9L bottled drinking water.
• Sites Covered: Multiple locations including Rooihuiskraal (Centurion), Rivonia Road, Dalpark, and various satellite centres, with specified quantities for each site.
• Duration: The contract spans 36 months, with all services and supplies to be provided throughout this period.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the water dispensers include:

• Floor-standing (not countertop) units with a 3-way plug point.
• Durability, ease of cleaning, and safety features to prevent burns.
• Built-in filtration systems with scheduled filter replacements.
• Flow rate compliance.
• Sanitisation, maintenance, repairs, and replacement services as per a defined schedule.

Additional requirements include supply of biodegradable paper cups and bottled water, with specified quantities and quality standards.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in providing similar water supply and dispenser services, with references from at least 10-15 years of past clients.
• Approach and methodology that covers installation, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to supply and manage consumables and equipment across multiple sites efficiently.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including tax compliance and B-BBEE standards.
