Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply hatchback and multi-purpose motor vehicles to support the Cape Winelands District Municipality’s fleet, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for official purposes and service delivery mandates.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of:

• 4-door petrol hatchback motor vehicles with piston displacement of 1200cm³ or higher and 60KW power output.
• 4-door petrol multi-purpose motor vehicles with piston displacement of 1500cm³ or higher and 75KW power output.

Vehicles must meet specified technical requirements, including accessories, optional extras, and warranty/guarantee conditions. Delivery is expected within a reasonable timeframe, not exceeding six weeks from order issuance.

Hatchback Vehicles

Multi-purpose Vehicles

• Make and Model as specified by the bidder
• Fuel type: Petrol
• Piston displacement: 1500cm³ or higher
• Power output: 75KW
• Accessories and features similar to hatchback vehicles, with specific emphasis on:
  • Reverse parking camera
  • Two airbags
  • Other optional extras as per schedule
• Warranty: Minimum 3 years / 100,000 km
• Service plan: 3 years / 60,000 km

All vehicles must include registration, licensing, number plates, and vehicle tools. Proof of service plans and warranties must be provided.

Skills and Technical Requirements

• Registered and licensed motor dealers or franchise dealerships as per the National Road Traffic Act, 1996.
• Ability to supply vehicles that meet the detailed technical specifications and optional extras listed.
• Provision of proof of capability through references and previous project experience.
• Compliance with warranty and service plan requirements, including proof of included services.
• Timely delivery within the stipulated period (not exceeding six weeks from order).
• Ability to provide after-sales support, spare parts, and maintenance services.
• Demonstrated capacity to handle bulk procurement and logistics management.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of vehicle specifications, accessories, and optional fitments.
• Experience in vehicle procurement, registration, licensing, and delivery logistics.
• Ability to provide technical documentation, manuals, and proof of warranty and service plans.
• Capability to adhere to quality standards and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
• Proficiency in supply chain management, including procurement processes and supplier registration.
