MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY, MANUFACTURING, DELIVERY AND
INSTALLATION OF GENERAL STEELWORKS AND FITTINGS TO THE MOSSEL BAY MUNICIPALITY FOR THE ENDING 30 JUNE
2029.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3ME or higher.
A non-refundable tender deposit of R264.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
A compulsory information meeting will take place.
ALL BIDDERS, including ALL THE PARTNERS OF A JOINT VENTURE MUST BE CIDB REGISTERED AND ATTEND THIS
COMPULSORY MEETING.
BIDDERS (including all partners of a Joint Venture) WHO DID NOT ATTEND THE COMPULSORY INFORMATION MEETING AND
SUBMIT A BID, WILL BE SEEN AS SUBMITTING A NON-RESPONSIVE BID.
Please note: The Municipality prefer that Senior Company Staff members or Contract Managers attend the compulsory information
meeting as the Scope of Works, the Design and the Tender Specifications will be discussed in detail along with the Execution phase
expectations and possible amendments. It remains the Bidder’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with and fully understand the
tender specifications to be able to submit a responsive tender.
A set of tender documents can be obtained at a non-refundable cost of R264.00 per set from Ms Juanita Schutte who may be contacted
at telephone (044) 606-5198 or e-mail at [email protected] OR it can be obtained on our website at
www.mosselbay.gov.za free of charge. If you require a hard copy of the tender document, payments must be made at the cashiers at
the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Main Building, 101 Marsh Street on the Lower Ground Floor (seaside) or EFT (Banking details and
Reference Nr can be obtained from [email protected]), prior to collecting and proof of payment must be provided when
collecting the tender document from the Supply Chain Management Offices, 101 Marsh Street, Mossel Bay.
Bids will be pre-evaluated and bids that score less than 70 out of 100 points will be considered as non-responsive.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Directorate: Infrastructure Services offices,
Infrastructure Services Boardroom, George Road, Mossel Bay on 06 May 2026 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
