Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and install steel shelving units at Edumbe CHC to enhance storage capacity and organization of medical records and related materials.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and installation of 3 rows of fixed 6-tier bolted steel shelving within an existing shipping container.
• Provision and installation of 900mm x 350mm wired file racks with 13 file spaces, in white.
• Supply and installation of 4mm 2-core surfix electrical cable.
• Installation of waterproof epoxy flooring inside the shipping container.
• Inspection of existing electrical work and provision of electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC).

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications specify:

• Use of approved materials, including SABS standards for equipment and materials.
• Supply of bolted steel shelving measuring 2130x900x300mm with floor clearance of 150mm and ceiling clearance of 300mm, arranged to maximize space utilization.
• Wired file racks of size 900mm x 350mm, with 13 file spaces, in white.
• Electrical wiring with 4mm 2-core surfix cable, length approximately 50 meters.
• Flooring to be rubberized, damp-proof, water-tight, and rodent-proof.
• Site must be kept tidy; work to be performed during normal working hours unless prior approval is obtained for after-hours work.
• Guarantee period of 12 months for all completed works, with rectification of faults at no cost during this period.

Skills Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Experience in supply and installation of steel shelving and related storage solutions.
• Proven ability to carry out electrical inspections and installations, including certification.
• Capability to perform site preparation, flooring, and electrical work adhering to safety standards.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including OHS Act adherence.
• Capacity to complete the project within the stipulated two-week period.
