Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure services for the maintenance and cleaning of gardens and grounds at Sivananda Clinic over a six-month contract period. The goal is to ensure the clinic's outdoor areas are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing, supporting a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Garden maintenance within the defined property area, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and weed control.
• Removal of rubbish, debris, and garden refuse on a weekly basis.
• Cleaning of paved areas, pathways, gutters, and driveways using high-pressure cleaners monthly.
• Planting of colorful flowers and maintaining garden beds in a neat condition.
• Tree work such as trimming, pruning, and removal of fallen or dead trees/shrubs.
• Car park and pathway maintenance, including rubbish removal, weed control, and cleaning.
• Mulching, site clean-up, and perimeter fence maintenance.
• Adherence to safety standards and submission of Job Safety Analyses and Material Safety Data Sheets.

The contract duration is six months, with staff coverage from 07h00 to 16h00, Monday to Friday, including reliever staff.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of qualified personnel trained in garden maintenance, tree work, and safety procedures.
• Use of appropriate equipment such as high-pressure cleaners, pruning tools, and herbicides, in accordance with safety standards.
• Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including submission of Job Safety Analyses and Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Proper disposal of garden refuse and waste in line with waste management practices.
• Regular site inspections, reporting, and adherence to specified maintenance standards.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified grounds maintenance staff with experience in garden care, pruning, and landscaping.
• Trained personnel for tree work, including pruning and removal of fallen or hazardous trees.
• Staff knowledgeable in safety procedures, including the use of PPE and compliance with Job Safety Analyses.
• Ability to operate and maintain gardening equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Competence in waste management, weed control, and plant care.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination with the clinic management.
