Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure security, patrol, and access control services at Die Dam and Uilenkraalsmond Resorts of the Overberg District Municipality for the period from 1 to 30 June 2026. The services aim to ensure safety, security, and controlled access at the specified resort sites during the specified period.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of security services by Grade C PSIRA-registered security officers.
• Day shift security, patrol, and access control services from Monday to Sunday, 07:00 to 19:00, including public holidays.
• Night shift security, patrol, and access control services from Monday to Sunday, 19:00 to 07:00, including public holidays.
• Security, patrol, and access control at both Die Dam and Uilenkraalsmond Resorts facilities.
• Provision of contact details and qualifications of the project manager and contact persons.
• Insurance coverage, including proof of public liability insurance of at least R5 million.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Two Grade C security officers for day shifts and two for night shifts at each resort site.
• PSIRA registration for all security officers, with proof of registration submitted with the bid.
• Payment of security officers at or above PSIRA salary rates.
• Provision of proof of public liability insurance coverage.
• Adherence to the specified working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Compliance with the scope of work and service standards as detailed in the Terms of Reference.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• PSIRA registration for all security officers, with valid proof submitted.
• Experience in providing security services, with a minimum of 1 year for the business and specific experience for project managers.
• Company profile indicating expertise in security services and industry recognition.
• Qualified security officers with Grade 10 and Grade C security training certificates.
• Experience of key security personnel, especially project managers, with relevant references and CVs.
• Ability to manage security operations effectively, including patrols, access control, and emergency response.
