Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure the supply and delivery of aggregate products and materials within Ray Nkonyeni Municipality for a period of three (03) years, based on rates only. The aim is to ensure a reliable procurement process that supports municipal infrastructure and maintenance needs, while promoting fair competition and adherence to procurement policies.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various aggregate products and construction materials to multiple depot areas within Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, including but not limited to crusher run, crusher stone, concrete stone, dust, quarry rubble, sand, bricks, manhole covers, kerb stones, paving slabs, cement, gabion baskets, plastic pipes, and culverts. The contract duration is three years, with the possibility of supply to different depot locations as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of a comprehensive list of aggregate and construction materials with specified unit rates, including rates for different depot locations.
• Compliance with specifications outlined in the tender, including quality standards such as SABS standards for cement and pipes.
• Delivery to designated depot areas within the municipality, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as certificates of compliance, safety data sheets, and proof of registration.
• Adherence to packaging, handling, and storage requirements to prevent damage or deterioration during transit and storage.
• Compliance with the municipality’s procurement policies and relevant legislation.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying similar aggregate and construction materials, with references to completed projects of comparable scope and scale.
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver large quantities reliably over an extended period (three years).
• Registered and compliant with the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and tax authorities, including valid Tax Compliance Certificates.
• Ability to provide technical support, documentation, and quality assurance for supplied products.
• Qualified personnel with knowledge of procurement procedures, safety standards, and quality control processes.
• Financial stability to sustain supply over the contract period, with capacity to handle large orders and logistical challenges.
